From the Mining System we've discussed, if you mine for personal use, you just need to keep the crystals with you. They can be used at any time when talking to NPCs who require Omnilink Crystals for their services. However, if you wish to trade with others in the game or convert them into MEGA coins, another currency in the RO Megaverse, you will need to pack them into Omnilink Boxes first before you can trade. The process is as follows:
Warp to the town of Payon, then walk past the Kafra to the right. You will find an NPC next to a large crystal ball at these coordinates.
Talk to Master Omnilink, and a list of items available in the store will appear. Although prices may be listed in Zeny, upon attempting a trade, the correct amount of Omnilink Crystals required for that particular item will be displayed. Here, we'll focus specifically on combining Omnilink Crystals into a box to enable trading with other players or melting them into MEG Tokens. Therefore, players should drag the Omnilink Crystal Box to the purchase list on the right-hand side and then click the "Buy" button.
After clicking the buy button, a message will display the required amount for packing one box. If you have the specified amount, the message will be green, but if you do not have enough, the message will turn red.
The example image above is just to illustrate the process of packing Omnilink Crystals into an Omnilink Crystal Box. The amounts shown are for testing purposes on the Test Server only and do not represent the actual amounts required for trading.
After purchasing the Omnilink Crystal Box, a beautiful effect will briefly appear as a ceremony, along with a message in the middle of the screen stating that you have received the Omnilink Box, as shown in the image below. With this, you can now use the Omnilink Box for further purposes.
